We're on a mission to restore Australia's rainforests through restoration and regeneration.

Guided by the latest scientific data on biodiversity and the effects of climate change, we’re carrying out and supporting conservation projects from Far North Queensland to the NSW Northern Rivers and beyond.

Our volunteer program is your chance to take an active, grass-roots role in regenerating our forests to create a greener future.

Why volunteer?

Be part of the climate solution

Rainforest restoration is one of the best ways to tackle the effects of climate change, and a great way to channel your energy into doing something positive for the environment. Ease climate anxiety and feel good about your contribution in the process. What's not to love about that?

Connect with your community

Volunteering is a great way to connect with like-minded people in your community. Lifelong friendships can grow from working as a team, and you'll also benefit from the feeling of belonging that comes with working towards a shared goal.

Boost your resume

Want to make your resume stand out to prospective employers? Volunteering helps develop and grow skills that employers often look for, plus it shows them that you’re a socially conscious, community-minded person.

What's involved?

We have volunteering opportunities in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, Atherton Tablelands and the Daintree Lowland Rainforest.

Join a tree planting event, help with natural regeneration activities and weed management, assist with the construction of our new nursery or help us expand our day-to-day capacity. There's something for everyone. See our events page here.

Note that some of our activities are in rugged terrain, so please be aware of your capabilities and let us know of any additional needs when signing up. As an inclusive, equal opportunity organisation, we welcome people of all abilities and will strive to accommodate these needs wherever possible. We are LGBTIQ+ friendly.

Sign up now to become a volunteer and we'll let you know when there's an opportunity in your area.
